Years 7 and 8 are used to develop a basic level of communication focusing on the key skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the target language. A broad range of vocabulary and an introduction to grammar are covered with the themes studied.
In year 9, the curriculum allows the four main skill areas to be built on in preparation for option choices in KS4.
