Getting to and from Brannel School
Cornwall Council provides a number of dedicated school bus services connecting Brannel School with surrounding villages and communities.

Home-to-School Transport
Eligibility for free home-to-school transport is determined by Cornwall Council. Full details of the eligibility criteria can be found in the Cornwall Council Home to School Travel Assistance Policy.
If your child is eligible, you can apply for home-to-school transport through Cornwall Council.
When should I apply?
Please do not apply for school transport until your child has been allocated a school place through School Admissions on National Offer Day.
For children starting secondary school in September 2027, National Offer Day is:

Behaviour on School Transport
Everyone has the right to a safe and respectful journey to and from school.
We expect all learners using school transport to behave responsibly, follow the instructions of the driver and show respect towards other passengers.
Most learners behave well on school transport, and we are grateful for their cooperation. However, behaviour that puts others at risk, causes significant disruption or makes the journey unpleasant for others will not be tolerated.
Our expectations apply from the moment learners board the bus until they leave the vehicle.
If behaviour becomes a concern
Where a learner is involved in an incident of poor behaviour on school transport, the school may take action in accordance with our Behaviour Policy and the arrangements set by Cornwall Council.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include a temporary suspension from school transport for up to one week.
During any period of suspension, parents and carers are responsible for making alternative travel arrangements so that their child can continue to attend school.
Where poor or unsafe behaviour continues, a learner's school transport provision may be withdrawn completely.
We work closely with families to address concerns and support learners to make safe and respectful choices when travelling to and from school.
