Family Food parcels
Supporting Our Brannel Families
At Brannel School, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of all our learners and their families. We understand that from time to time families may experience financial difficulties or unexpected circumstances that place additional pressure on household budgets.
Through our Family Food Parcel support, we are able to provide short-term assistance to families who may be struggling to access essential food items. Our aim is to ensure that no learner goes without the support they need and that families can access help quickly, discreetly, and without judgement.
What Is Included?
Food parcels may contain a variety of essential items, including:
- Tinned foods
- Pasta, rice and other cupboard staples
- Breakfast items
- Long-life milk and drinks
- Snacks and lunch items
- Toiletries and household essentials (subject to availability)
Contents may vary depending on availability and family circumstances.
Who Can Access Support?
Food parcel support is available to Brannel School families who may be experiencing temporary hardship or financial difficulties. This could be due to:
- Changes in employment or income
- Unexpected household expenses
- Family emergencies
- Benefit delays
- Other challenging circumstances
Every situation is different, and we encourage families to get in touch if they feel they may benefit from support.
How to Request a Food Parcel
Requests can be made confidentially through the school. Families can contact our Student Services Team or a member of our Safeguarding Team who will be able to discuss support options and make appropriate arrangements.
All requests are treated with sensitivity, respect, and confidentiality.

Additional Support
Where appropriate, the school may also be able to signpost families to local services and organisations that can provide further support with food, finances, housing, wellbeing, and other areas of need.
We are proud to be part of a caring community and are here to help whenever support is needed.
