Transition Hub 2026
Congratulations on gaining a place at Brannel School!
We are excited to welcome your family into the Brannel School community and to support your child as they begin their journey with us. At Brannel, we are committed to engineering excellence, capturing creativity, and creating community in all we do, ensuring students feel supported, inspired, and ready to thrive. We understand that the transition to secondary school can bring a mix of excitement and nerves, but rest assured we are here to make the process as smooth as possible and help every student settle happily into life at Brannel School.
Moving to secondary school is such an exciting time, although we know that there will be nerves and worries, this is completely normal, and we will do all we can to support you and your families.
You are joining Brannel School at such an exciting time. We are just about to launch our vision and values work and, as our newest students and families, we can't wait to hear from you about what you want your secondary school experience to be like and include.
We talk about being part of Brannel Nation. That means that, individually, you are part of something bigger, that you have a part to play in building our Brannel nation and ensuring that our work, together, matters to all of us. There will be lots of ways for you to belong and be a part of our work. Not just our lessons and curriculum, but our co-curricular offer, student voice groups, and student leadership groups. Whatever your interests, inside and outside of school, we have something for you, something that you can belong to too and somewhere you can thrive.
We can't wait for you to join us!

Transition Lead

At Brannel School, our Transition Ambassadors play a key role in supporting students as they move from primary to secondary school.
Our ambassadors are there to help make this important change feel as smooth and positive as possible. They support during our transition day and transition evening, helping new students feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident about starting secondary school. They act as friendly faces who can answer questions, guide students around the school, and help them get a sense of what life at Brannel is like.
Our Transition Ambassadors also support at parent events, where they help staff welcome families, share information, and provide reassurance about the transition process. By doing this, they help both students and parents feel informed and supported.
Overall, our ambassadors help create a calm, friendly introduction to secondary school life and make sure every student feels ready and excited to join our school community.
