Year 9 curriculum

Year 9 is a year of evaluation, transfer and readiness. Students are supported to think more critically, ethically and independently, applying their knowledge with increasing confidence across different subjects and contexts. They begin to think more like subject specialists: questioning evidence, making reasoned judgements, exploring power, responsibility and consequence, and understanding how complex systems work. This page outlines what students will learn this year, how their knowledge deepens and connects, and how we prepare them academically, personally and socially for the transition into Key Stage 4.
