We have a number of transition events and activities planned to help prepare for starting school in September.

Transition Workshops
We are excited to offer a series of transition workshops at Brannel School during June for pupils joining Year 7 in September.
The workshops are designed to support a smooth transition to secondary school by helping pupils become familiar with the school, meet staff, and take part in enjoyable activities. They are a great opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and explore new interests in a safe, supervised environment. We strongly encourage participation!

Selection: Please choose one event per week for your child to attend.

Thursday 11th June
Geography
Step into the role of a climate change refugee in our Darfur Climate Change Conflict Game. Work together, make important decisions, and discover how climate change, desertification and conflict are connected in this exciting interactive geography workshop.
Sign Language
Try something new, build confidence and have fun in our exciting Sign Language Transition Workshop! Learn basic sign language, take part in interactive activities, meet new friends and discover a new way to communicate in a fun and supportive environment.

Maths
Sign up for our Maths & Puzzle Brain Teaser session and put your logic, problem-solving, and number skills to the test. Challenge yourself, compete with friends, and see if you can crack the toughest puzzles!
Food
Mix, bake and decorate in our Food Workshop with delicious shortbread biscuit making! Learn new skills, get creative with decorations and enjoy making tasty treats in a fun hands-on session.
Thursday 25th June
Drama
Unleash your imagination, build confidence and have fun in our exciting Drama Workshop! Take part in drama games, creative activities and acting challenges while meeting new friends and experiencing Drama at secondary school. Discover your inner performer at Brannel School!
PE: Football
Take to the pitch in our exciting Football Taster Session on the 3G! Develop your skills, take part in fast-paced matches and enjoy teamwork, competition and plenty of game time in a fun and active session.
PE: CrossFit
Push yourself in our high-energy CrossFit Taster Session! Try a range of fun, challenging workouts designed to build strength, fitness and confidence while developing teamwork and resilience in a supportive environment.
