A School of the Future

Brannel School was completely redesigned and rebuilt in 2011 as a ‘School of the Future’ at a cost of over £17 million.

School buildings should inspire learning. They should nurture every student and member of staff. They should be a source of pride and a practical resource for the community.

Brannel is a welcoming and exciting place in which to teach and to learn. Being a new school means that we have new facilities, resources and equipment throughout. Our technology is ‘leading edge’ in all respects and supports the learning of students both within and beyond the curriculum. Our state-of-the-art facilities reflect our educational vision of high expectations, high-quality teaching and learning, specialism and excellence, local collaboration and community involvement.

Part of a Multi-Academy Trust

Brannel School converted to an academy as part of the Newquay Education Trust (NET) in November 2017. We believe that we will achieve more through collective strength and shared responsibility.

Moving forward, in November 2019 NET formally joined the Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT). In order to give our teams time to align policies, processes and procedures the official launch of the merged Trust will be 1st January 2020.

At the heart of our shared vision is the belief that education is a seamless and continuous journey and our core purpose is to create ever improving provision across the Trust which will provide the best opportunities for young people across Mid Cornwall.
